I love the smell of spring is in the air, the snow is slowly melting and the weather is fabulous. I had this picture taken right across my home and it was so beautiful that all i wanted to do is sit and watch the melting snow. I cannot believe how fast the year is moving, today is the last day of February and spring is upon us in less than a month. ✌

I recently purchased the Silksense Blackhead mask, and to tell you the truth i have mixed feeling about it. I do not know if it works as much as some reviews claimed it did or i just don't have black heads. The good thing about it in my opinion was that my skin came out smooth and it took out some facial hair. The product is very thick which is something you want.

Good evening ! i have been a Clinique girl for as long as i can remember. Their products are amazing and quite economic too. Ever since i started using Clinique i have never looked back. So i am going to show you some of my favorite skincare products from Clinique.

This has always been essential to my skincare routine, it is a 2 in 1 combination of an exfoliate and a scrub. This face mask is magic and you only have to use it twice a week. I have tried other brands of exfoliates but nothing has so far compared to this one. Some exfoliates require daily use which i honestly don't like. Not to mention the brand name but it felt like my face was about to fall off... i really like the charcoal mask, it helps in smoothing the skin and leaves the skin feeling real soft. This mask is perfect for all skin types.

 it dries really fast and keeps your face very firm, it takes 8 minutes for it do the job.

I recently purchased these beauties and i most say they are cute and under $ 20. I love name brand items but sometimes they can be out of reach because of the $$$ amount. So i decided to take a step back and try something new and reasonable and i found out that having a much cheaper watch doesn't hurt. Hey! a girls has gotta do what she gotta do to get something new and chic?

My famous spaghetti meatballs

Growing up I had always had the knack for cooking, I loved everything about it from the smell of spices to the general process of making something incredible. I remember watching my mother whip up delicious meals both African (part of my background) and Italian. Curiously watching I picked up a few tricks and today its safe to say am not a bad cook and something decent always comes out of my kitchen.

    Most of my adolescent life was lived in Italy, and nothing makes an Italian happy than a bowl of “pasta”. Over the years I have perfected my meatballs and I call it the “fifteen-minute” meatballs.

Putting some spring in those steps

Although the weather outside is frightful, today I decided to try on some spring style. I combined this beautiful jacket with a pencil skirt and a gorgeous printed long sleeve top.

If only I can explain how beautiful this skirt is, so I tried taking a picture but it didn’t do it justice. Mine you these are from my personal collection so whatever I post are simply out of stock, I replace them with things you can easily find and that are sale too.

Sunday Fun day!

I was going to post this on Sunday but, i have been busy lately with school work and the girls. I know not many people visit my blog but i feel one day my audiences would increase, so i am going to continue to post as much as i can, besides this has been a long dream of mine.

The weather here in Coloma can sometimes be crazy cold, so me and baby coconut's stay in, i mean we could stay in for a whole week because that's how chilly it gets. last Sunday we finally ventured out with the whole family, hubby, grand ma and grand pa, the schompie poo's and myself. we went to Niles for brunch and did some antique shopping (literally a fan).

Just for HER on valentines day

It seems like Valentine's day has been renamed to Galentine's day..lol a day that is not only spent with your lover or better half but also with your girl friends, your children or pets.
Growing up i thought valentines day was only celebrated if you had a man! anyway speaking of girl friends since i move to the United States i have been short of girls friends and lately i just hang out with the kids which don't get me wrong is the best part of my life. I remember when I lived in Rome, my girl friends and I would go out for a nice relaxing aperitif (aka Aperitivo) sipping on vine or Aperol spritz ( which I still drink) talking about the next shoes to buy, how I miss those days.
On Valentine's we would share gifts or host a get together at my place for the evening drinking espresso's and wine while having makeovers...lol. I have share some of my favorite valentine's gift ideas below and have categorized them by prices $50 and over.

One thing I really love is the idea of having gifts that last forever or maybe for a while like perfumes, my personal favorite is this brand.
I love perfumes but I only choose 4 types that have become my personal fragrance, in case you don't know this... I love shoes, (obsessed if you may) so this pair would make a beautiful gift.

Apart from makeup, jewelry and clothing, a nice home decor like a throw or blanket would make a perfect gift and it is something you can always gift friend.

My husband and i are not really crazy about celebrating Valentine's day, but he never forgets the flowers...lol. My husband has great taste fashion sense and can be hard to shop for sometimes, but the beautiful thing is he simple. Pediatric Appointment

I was going to post this on monday but i got side tracked because i was busy been a student and a mom. My little candy cane had her 4th month Pediatric appointment and am happy to say that she is as healthy as can be, she is at the top of her game .. lol 95th percentile in both height and weight. What does that mean you may ask, it means that she is taller and bigger than the average 4 month baby.. lol. I am very happy and blessed to have such a healthy baby.

Valentine fever

As we all know Valentines day is just around the Corner and putting together the right outfit can sometime be a hassle well personally i liked to throw on something easy chic and sexy and nothing screams simple than a jumpsuit. Here is an outfit i put together for a lovely romantic valentine dinner.

Little Supergirl.

Today i was doing the dishes and thinking about my kids even though they were just two feet away  and i realized that worrying has become something i do all the time even without meaning to, i practically worry over petty things which got me thinking ....does it mean that i am an over protective mother? is this what makes someone a good mother?
Anyway i got my thoughts together, tried to put my home in order, which by the way take me more than two hours thanks to my two year old...lol. My three month old started getting fussy so i took her in my arms but that didn't help, she still didn't quit with the fussing, then it occurred to me, ... she wanted down, she loves to sit up and look around especially at her big sister and this is what happened as soon as she hit the ground,....

She stood on her feet holding on to the couch  .....wow! she is barely four months old. it lasted for 5 seconds and down she went smiling. I felt so proud, my kids were always strong and ambitious which gives me a sense of accomplishment because deep down i know that i am definitely doing a good job. This is my SUPERGIRL!!

welcome to my first day!

Hello!
wow this is my first blog and website set up i am excited and hoping that everything goes well. This new year seem to be going great only that i recently caught the cold and feeling very weak, sometimes mothers just need to nap but been legendary comes with                                                                                                    
 a lot of responsibilities. i love my kids but sometimes i wish for a beautiful nap and i am sure some moms can relate to that. I am blessed and happy and very hopeful this new year. I hope to be posting more of my everyday challenges as a mom alongside things that i love.

Mom 101

I wake up every day feeling just the right amount of tiredness why? you may ask. well that's because having a baby is not an easy job, many mothers make it seem very effortless but believe me it is NOT! my kids are co-sleepers and after the nightly breast feeding and diaper changing, when I finally crawl into bed hoping for a little rest I wake up with someone's feet on my head and sometimes a tiny little butt...lol..right. Don't get me wrong I love my kids with every fiber of my being but since I had these little candy canes I have literally had zero time for myself. On my best days I wake up to my eldest daughter throwing my phone on my head, so I can help her bypass my access code. My home is my work, so I don't have to leave unless it’s important, so relaxing after a long day’s job is totally out of the question. with all that said, I won't trade my life for anything else, kids grow up so fast, I rather enjoy these special moments and cuddles before they are all gone for good.

 

Detox green smoothie

This year I am dedicating my body to detox. I currently started this smoothie on Tuesday and fingers crossed I hope it works. For better results you can drink this smoothie for breakfast and dinner after you had a really nice lunch filled with veggies and protein.
